Remove apps after updating to QTS 5

With the update to QTS 5, some apps that were previously an integral part of the firmware can be removed. In particular, these are the following apps:

  • QBoost
  • SSD Profiling Tool

QBoost can be removed directly from the App Center via the menu. With the SSD Profilig Tool this is not directly possible, here some additional steps are necessary.

First, the metadata present in the system must be removed for the tool, this is only possible via an SSH console:

rmcfg SSDLaboratory -f /etc/config/qpkg.conf

This step only removes the entry in the App Center, but not the actual program files. This is only done when the “SSD Profiling Tool” is reinstalled via the App Center and then removed again via the menu.
